Exuding freshness, happiness and innocence, daisies are one of the best known flowers in the world, illuminating fields, landscapes and gardens. Although they originated in Europe and temperate regions of Asia, daisies were eventually introduced in Australia and North America.

They are now found on all continents except Antarctica. Its abundance is also partly due to its adaptive nature. Daisies can grow in both wet and dry climates and in sunny or shaded areas.

The name "daisy" comes from the old English phrase "Daes eage", which means "eye of the day". This name reflects how these flowers close their petals at night and reopen them at dawn.

Bees have a thing for daisies. Shasta daisies are specifically one of your favorite flowers to pollinate. The flat shape of the flowers is especially attractive to bees because there is plenty of space to land in the yellow center to collect pollen and nectar.

Roses are believed to be very, very old flowers. It is at least what the fossils, aged approximately 35 million years old, understand.

Roses began to be cultivated in Asia about 5,000 years ago.

There are around 100 species of roses, in addition to thousands of varieties and hybrids.

They are found in eastern and southern Asia, from the Himalayas to eastern Japan and Indonesia. There are about 20,000 camellias named in cultivation.

Known as the tea camellia, Camellia sinensis is used to make most green and black teas. The leaves and petals of the camellia plant are dry and are known for their high levels of caffeine. Both types of black or green tea should only be consumed under the guidance of a herbalist.
