How to recover your paints 🎨

Sometimes we know, due to everyday life, we are unable to complete some projects the way we wanted, for example, your painting project, some even started painting a year later. Therefore, when we return to the painting, we can find the paints with some change in consistency. So what to do in this situation? Can inks be softened and returned to their original state?

As long as the ink doesn't turn into a hard rubber, most of the time you can return it to its original condition, or at least the used condition.

Let's go through the solution step by step:

Step 1: Add some water to the paint pan. Stir and mix the water with the paint for a few seconds.

Step 2: Add a little more water and dip the paint in the water. We recommend adding water gradually so that it doesn't get too watery. Let it rest overnight.

Step 3: The next morning you will notice that the thick paint has absorbed some of the water overnight and has become very soft. Stir and mix the paint. There you have it, you will have usable ink again.

Tip 1: Acrylic paint is a water-based paint, so it mixes well with water and softens a thick paint once mixed with water and allows for time to soak in water.

Tip 2: Acrylic paint can usually last between 6 to 12 months. So make sure you complete your painting within this time. But for some reason, if you can't finish the paint job, a suggestion is to add a little water to the paint pot to keep it wet and moist. Tightly close the lid of the ink container. This will ensure the paint stays wet when you go back to paint it again in a few months.
